
Notocactus warasii (Parodia warasii)
The Notocactus warasii is native to southern brazil in areas like Rio Grande do Sul. It is a clumping cactus often found growing off cliff aces and rocky ledges at around 800-1000 metres altitude. This cactus will become cylindrical and tall and can reach to a height of 60cm. It is distinguished from other varieties of its species by its very golden spines and it's deep green body with the aureole slightly less compact. It can produce yellow flowers in summer.Â
