The Mammillaria magnifica is native to Mexico from areas such as Morelos and Pueblamall. It is a columnar cactus which produces offsets from its base. This particular mammillaria has pyramid shaped tubercles and white fluffy areoles that produce radical spines and central hooked spines. The top of each column will produce a ring of bright red/purple flowers.
